1 Disclaimer and Terms & Conditions of Carriage
▾By purchasing or confirming a ferry ticket through Bali Lombok Ferry, passengers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
These terms apply to ferry tickets and related services booked through Bali Lombok Ferry and may be subject to additional terms imposed by the respective ferry operator.
2 Check-In and Boarding
▾- Passengers must check in no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Check-in generally opens approximately 1 hour before departure and closes strictly 30 minutes before departure.
- Passengers arriving after check-in has closed may be refused boarding and may not be eligible for a refund.
- Certain destinations, including Nusa Lembongan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno, may require earlier check-in due to shuttle or transfer arrangements between the harbor and the ferry.
- Departure times for certain routes may be adjusted to accommodate local shuttle transfers. Passengers are responsible for checking the departure time stated on their booking confirmation.
- Passengers are responsible for arriving at the correct departure point and on time.
3 Cancellation & Refund Policy
▾- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through the official Bali Lombok Ferry contact channel.
- More than 7 days (168 hours) before departure: eligible for a full refund of the ticket fare, subject to the applicable operator policy.
- 7 days to 2 days (168 to 48 hours) before departure: eligible for a 50% refund of the ticket fare.
- Less than 48 hours before departure: no refund.
- No-show: no refund.
- Any bank, payment gateway, or transaction fees related to refunds are the passenger's responsibility.
- Approved refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method within approximately 3–4 business weeks, depending on the payment provider or bank.
- Certain promotional, discounted, or special-fare tickets may have different cancellation and refund conditions.
4 Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
▾By purchasing a ferry ticket, the passenger agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Once the booked ferry or related service has been provided, passengers agree not to initiate an unjustified chargeback, payment reversal, or payment dispute through their bank or card provider.
Any legitimate payment or service dispute should first be reported to Bali Lombok Ferry so that it can be reviewed and resolved according to the applicable booking and operator policies.
5 Rescheduling
▾- Travel date changes may be permitted depending on the ticket conditions and seat availability.
- Rescheduling requests should generally be submitted at least 2 days before the scheduled departure.
- Date changes are subject to availability and may be subject to additional fees or fare differences.
- Some promotional or special-fare tickets may not be eligible for rescheduling.
- Once the scheduled departure time has passed, rescheduling may no longer be possible.
6 Luggage Policy
▾- Each passenger may generally bring up to 2 pieces of luggage, with a combined maximum weight of 25 kg, unless otherwise stated by the ferry operator.
- Excess or oversized luggage may be refused or may incur additional charges.
- Baggage allowances may vary depending on the ferry operator, vessel, route, and ticket type.
- Passengers are responsible for ensuring that their luggage complies with the applicable baggage restrictions.
- The ferry operator reserves the right to inspect luggage and refuse carriage of items that may endanger the vessel, crew, or passengers.
- Prohibited items may include explosives, volatile chemicals, corrosive substances, flammable materials, and other dangerous or offensive items.
- Bali Lombok Ferry and the respective ferry operator are not responsible for loss of or damage to luggage or personal belongings during transportation, except where required by applicable law.
7 Ferry Cancellation, Delays & Schedule Changes
▾Ferry schedules may be affected by circumstances beyond the control of Bali Lombok Ferry or the ferry operator.
The ferry operator may cancel, delay, modify, or reschedule a departure due to:
- Weather or sea conditions.
- Technical or mechanical issues.
- Operational requirements.
- Harbor restrictions.
- Safety considerations.
- Instructions from the Indonesian Government.
- Instructions from the Harbour Master or relevant authorities.
- Other circumstances beyond the operator's reasonable control.
In such circumstances, Bali Lombok Ferry and/or the ferry operator will provide available assistance or alternative arrangements according to the applicable operator policy.
Bali Lombok Ferry is not responsible for additional costs or losses resulting from ferry delays or cancellations, including:
- Hotel or accommodation costs.
- Connecting flights.
- Missed transportation.
- Alternative travel arrangements.
- Other indirect or consequential expenses.
Passengers are strongly advised to allow sufficient time between their ferry journey and any onward travel. For important flights or travel connections, we recommend allowing at least 24 hours of buffer time.
8 Flexible Fare
▾If a flexible fare or ticket protection option is offered, the conditions will depend on the specific fare selected at the time of booking.
Where applicable:
- The flexible fare fee is non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
- Cancellations made within the permitted cancellation period may be eligible for a partial refund.
- Date changes may be permitted subject to availability.
- The number of free date changes depends on the selected fare.
- All amendment requests must be submitted before the scheduled departure time.
- If the new sailing has a higher fare, the passenger must pay the fare difference.
- If the new sailing has a lower fare, the fare difference will generally not be refunded.
- Cancellations made outside the permitted cancellation period are not eligible for a refund.
- No refund will be provided in case of no-show.
- Refunds will be returned to the original payment method and may take approximately 3–4 business weeks, depending on the bank or payment provider.
The exact conditions of any flexible fare will be displayed or communicated during the booking process.
9 Health & Safety
▾- Passengers with medical conditions, serious back problems, heart conditions, mobility limitations, or other serious physical conditions should consult a medical professional before travelling by fast ferry.
- Ferry travel may involve movement caused by waves and sea conditions.
- Pregnant passengers are advised to consult their doctor before travelling and should check the applicable ferry operator's travel requirements.
- Children and infants must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult throughout the journey.
- Passengers must follow all safety instructions provided by the ferry crew.
- The ferry operator may refuse boarding where travelling is considered unsafe due to a passenger's condition or circumstances.
- Passengers are responsible for informing the ferry operator of any relevant medical or mobility requirements before departure.
10 Passenger Conduct & Right to Refuse Carriage
▾- The ferry operator reserves the right to refuse carriage of any passenger or goods where permitted by applicable law and operator policy.
- Passengers must follow all instructions given by the crew and harbor authorities.
- Passengers may be refused boarding if they are intoxicated, behave aggressively, pose a safety risk, or fail to comply with applicable travel requirements.
- Dangerous, prohibited, or restricted goods will not be accepted for carriage.
- Passengers are responsible for their own personal belongings throughout the journey.
11 Promotional & Special Tickets
▾Promotional, discounted, or special-fare tickets may be subject to additional Terms & Conditions.
These conditions may include restrictions regarding:
- Refunds.
- Rescheduling.
- Date changes.
- Name changes.
- Availability.
- Travel dates.
- Baggage allowance.
By purchasing a promotional or special-fare ticket, passengers acknowledge and agree to the specific conditions applicable to that fare.
12 Pets
▾Pets and animals are generally not permitted onboard, unless the respective ferry operator has specifically approved their carriage.
Passengers travelling with service animals or requiring special assistance should contact Bali Lombok Ferry before booking to confirm the applicable policy.
13 Passenger Name & Ticket Transfer
▾- Passenger names must be entered correctly at the time of booking.
- Name changes may not be permitted after a ticket has been issued.
- Tickets are generally non-transferable and may only be used by the passenger named on the booking.
- Passengers may be required to present valid identification matching the name on their ticket at check-in.
Any exception to the name-change or transfer policy is subject to the applicable ferry operator's approval.
14 Insurance
▾Any insurance included with a ferry ticket is subject to the specific insurance terms and conditions applicable to that booking.
Unless otherwise stated, insurance coverage applies only to eligible incidents occurring during the covered ferry journey and within the scope of the applicable insurance policy.
Bali Lombok Ferry is not responsible for incidents, losses, injuries, damages, or claims occurring outside the covered ferry journey or beyond the scope of the applicable insurance coverage.
Additional services such as:
- Hotel transfers.
- Shuttle services.
- Land transportation.
- Private transfers.
- Other third-party services.
may be subject to separate terms and may not be covered by the ferry insurance.
Passengers are encouraged to obtain suitable travel insurance covering their complete trip, including ferry travel, accommodation, medical expenses, cancellations, and onward transportation.
15 Schedule Information
▾Ferry schedules provided on the Bali Lombok Ferry website are subject to change.
Departure and arrival times may be affected by weather, sea conditions, harbor operations, vessel availability, and other operational circumstances.
Passengers should always check their booking confirmation and the latest information before travelling.
16 Third-Party Ferry Operators
▾Bali Lombok Ferry may provide booking information and ticketing services for ferry services operated by independent ferry operators.
Each ferry operator may have its own:
- Cancellation policy.
- Refund policy.
- Baggage allowance.
- Check-in requirements.
- Safety requirements.
- Rescheduling policy.
- Passenger restrictions.
- Terms of carriage.
Where an operator-specific policy differs from these general Terms & Conditions, the applicable operator terms may take precedence for that particular service.
17 Limitation of Liability
▾Bali Lombok Ferry is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from delays, cancellations, schedule changes, missed connections, weather conditions, harbor closures, technical issues, government instructions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Passengers are responsible for making appropriate arrangements for accommodation, onward transportation, flights, and other travel services connected to their ferry journey.
18 Governing Law
▾These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
Any amendments or changes to these Terms & Conditions must be confirmed through an official written communication from Bali Lombok Ferry.
Information provided verbally by booking agents, representatives, or other parties is not binding unless confirmed through an official communication.
19 Acceptance of Terms
▾By purchasing, confirming, or using a ferry ticket booked through Bali Lombok Ferry, the passenger confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions, together with any additional terms applicable to the selected ferry operator, route, and ticket type.
